It has been forever and a day since I even wrote anything and I would like to just send a small word out there to update things.
I have completed the TSDM course and passed it with a B+. I can't complain since having a sciences background and doing moderately well on a masters' level course in international affairs. I realy enjoyed the course, and on to top it off, there were actually a number of people from the class that actually work in the same office as I do.
So the premise of taking these courses, as mentioned on my other blog, is to get a MA from the USNWC. Well, now for the bad news in all of this. Apparently non US personnel are not eligible to get the MA, however they can take the FSP courses. So I can take all your courses, but you won't accredit me with a degree? Rubbish!
This is where it gets complicated. I am debating whether or not to continue with the courses and try to use them as credits towards a degree at some other institution; RMC for example. I think before I go ahead and keep taking these courses, I am definitely going to contact the college and see if they would be willing to give me credit for the courses towards some sort of MA level degree. The three FSP courses are pretty heavy courses and I would hope that they would 'weight' a lot when it comes to equivalencies.
Other than that, I'm feeling great and enjoying everything about life. I really hope to continue doing what I love and love what I'm doing.
-Another great day
